Giants/Jacobs Deal Not Close

It appears that the Giants and RB Brandon Jacobs are nowhere near agreeing to a new contract extension.

It was earlier reported that both sides were close to agreeing to terms in late June, but that appears to not be the case. The team may wait it out and make Jacobs prove he can stay healthy before approaching him about a deal.
