The 2009 Fantasy Football Season is showing itself as one that has been extremely stingy with injuries to key RBs. Some owners employed a tactical strategy, on draft day, of waiting until the later rounds to secure high potential backup RBs and/or handcuff RBs in anticipation of the routine rash of RB injuries. In most [...]

Fantasy Radar: NFL Week 9 Waiver Wire
Ryan Moats- I picked him up at 4:18 pm Sunday, and he was likely gone from some waiver wires an hour or more before that. Here are my thoughts. Moats is quick and had an incredible day, 23 carries for 126 yards and 3 TDs. I am happy for him since he has been a career backup having what may go down as his best NFL memory of his life. But Steve Slaton is the starter for a reason, and I can’t see Houston leaving him on the bench to rot.
The Fantasy 6-Pack
I hate Gary Kubiak so much that it stings, I went 3-7 in my 10 fantasy leagues, and I still couldn’t be more hooked on fantasy football! It is week 9 and that means it’s the last 6 team bye week, so let’s find some gems off the wire and crack open another Fantasy 6-Pack right here at FantasyFootball.com!

Fantasyfootball.com Staff League Recap Week 8
The Fantasyfootball.com Staff League is a league that is housed on fantasybowl.com and features 14 members of the site’s staff. My week 8 match-up was against Brian Pearson’s Six Kings squad that featured Eli Manning, Ray Rice, Marion Barber, DeSean Jackson and Frank Gore. Looking at then lineup compared to mine, I figured I had [...]
Wire Me This (IDP: Week 9)
Week 9 is upon us and you’re probably thinking to yourself, are there anymore viable IDP options on the wire at this point? I am here to say….yes. Depending on your league size, there still should be some viable options on the wire for your squad. Pickens might be slim but, there’s always a diamond [...]

Week 8 Chop Blocks
It really is quite amazing what kind of withdrawals you have when you don’t have web access. I felt totally disconnected from the world yesterday and I couldn’t login to make a lineup change, which might have cost me in one league. But, here are my observations from around the league as week 8 comes [...]

This is going to be a shortened version of the [...]
Cardinals-Panthers Fantasy Breakdown
Cincinnati’s Chart Climbing Catchers
Anybody who witnessed Carson Palmer during the 2005 NFL regular season, remembers how impressive he can be when he gets hot. Well as of week 7 in 2009, fantasy owners can now consider Palmer “hot”. On the first play of this game, Carson did a play action 20yd “floater” pass, a trademark pass which he [...]
The GM Perspective — Week 8
Back in 2005, FantasyFootball.com senior writer Andy Pino used to write a column called “The GM Perspective”. Those of you who were inmates back in the day remember this piece. It was clearly one of the best articles we had running on the site for two straight years until Pino decided to retire to spend more time with his family. The article was a basic, weekly overview of all things fantasy, and covered players injuries, news, trends, etc. It had it all. Mr. Pino, your columns have been missed.
IDP Rankings for the Rest of ‘09
As we head into week 8 of the season, it’s time to evaluate your team and adjust your expectations from your pre-season projections. It doesn’t appear that the 2008 version of Mario Williams will be walking through that door anytime soon. Here are my IDP rankings for the rest of 2009. Hopefully they help to [...]
