As we head into week 11 with tonight’s Thursday Night Football match-up between the Panthers and the Dolphins, let’s look at two intriguing running backs that were this week’s waiver wire grabs this week. In most cases, Justin Forsett was grabbed with a high waiver priority or he was bid on heavy in waiver wire bidding:

Houston Texans’ TE James Casey: Bookmark Him Now
James Casey on the other hand brings a whole lot more to the table. He is a 25-year old rookie for a reason—he spent three years in the White Sox farm system before retiring from baseball to enroll at Rice to play football. This guy is a gifted athlete, as evidenced by the fact that he played seven different positions for the Rice Owls in 2007 on his way to earning Conference USA consensus all-freshman honors.
Wire Me This (Week 11)
We’re only a few weeks out until the fantasy playoffs and some key players have gone down with an injury this past week. Now’s the time to hit the wire and pick-up that key player or handcuff that can help your team down the stretch:
Running Backs
1. Jason Snelling (ATL)
2. Bernard Scott (CIN)
3. Larry Johnson (CIN)

2010 PPR Mock Draft
As I was recently browsing through the current player rankings in one of my PPR leagues, I noticed the dramatic difference between current point leaders and their preseason rankings. I decided to conduct a one-man mock draft to detail how players might get drafted if a new season started today. Each “team” picked the best [...]

Week 10 Chop Blocks
Week 10 was kind of a crazy week, eh? Analysts and experts questioning Belichick on a 4th down call? A former 1st overall pick finally getting benched and some other tidbits around the league as we get ready for the bloodbath that will be the week 10 MNF game between Cleveland and Baltimore:

In Action Reaction: Week 10 Still In Progress Report
The Mort report tells us that no team is likely to pursue Larry Johnson. One surprise highlight from Week 10 was the play of Justin Forsett, RB for the Seahawks. He came in to replace Julius Jones who ended up in the hospital with bleeding in his lung and ran wild with 149 total yards and a TD. The only problem is that he faces a stout Vikings defense next week. To my eyes Forsett deserves a chance to showcase his talents the rest of the season and replace Jones as starter, but coaches don’t always see things the way fans do. Stay tuned and certainly give Forsett a chance to ride your bench this week just in case.

The Kansas City Sleeper Conglomeration - Week 10
The 2009 Kansas City Chiefs have been an absolute embarassment when it comes to fantasy football production. So why would they suddenly be expected to change? The answer becomes the new-face regime of the offense. If you change enough of the bad personnel who were in key positions, then you potentially inject a new life [...]

The GM Perspective — Week 10
Back in 2005, FantasyFootball.com senior writer Andy Pino used to write a column called “The GM Perspective”. Those of you who were inmates back in the day remember this piece. It was clearly one of the best articles we had running on the site for two straight years until Pino decided to retire to spend more time with his family. The article was a basic, weekly overview of all things fantasy, and covered players injuries, news, trends, etc. It had it all. Mr. Pino, your columns have been missed.
Lance Long, Kansas City Chiefs’ WR: Bookmark Him Now
The former college walk-on made the Cardinals’ practice squad last season after making just about every catch thrown his way, some reportedly on acrobatic leaps and dives. After a repeat performance this preseason, his hard work paid off. Long was one of five players featured on NFL.com’s “On The Fringe”, and he ended up beating the odds to make Arizona’s final 53-man roster to begin the 2009 season.
