If you’re not subscribed to the FantasyFootball.com FREE Newsletter… here’s what you missed this morning:

Good Friday, and welcome to our weekend edition of the FantasyFootball.com Newsletter.

So much to talk about, so little time… so let’s get right to it.

On a sour note, my wife had her van broken into last night. Her wallet and digital camera were stolen, so along with everything else going on with the website, I’m now dealing with canceling credit cards and checks, putting stops on the check book, and all the other junk that you have to do when you lose your wallet. UGH!!

Now, down to business.

- You absolutely want to tune in today to our one-hour edition of Two Feet in Bounds… the hottest, most-popular radio podcast on the Internet. Not only are we going to discuss Pre-Season Week 4 and the start of the regular season, we also have a very special guest joining us in the second half of the show. It’s a surprise, but I will tell you that our guest today is a 10-time Pro Bowler and will, no doubt, be a Hall of Famer when his career is over. CLICK HERE to visit our podcast page. We’re LIVE from 1 to 2 pm ET, Friday, September 3rd.

- Commissioner Roger Goodell announced today, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger’ssuspension was reduced from six games to four.

- Pre-Season Week #4 is in the books. All 32 teams played their final pre-season game last night, and no one really cared or noticed. Granted, it was overshadowed by the start of college football, but not many starters participated in any of last night’s games, making it rather fantasy absent. From now till next Thursday, teams will make cuts down to their final 53-man roster, and we’ll keep you up to date as best we can. Here are some important notes from last night’s action:

Beanie Wells suffered a right knee contusion in the second quarter vs. the Redskins and did not return to the game. He said he’ll be fine and ready to go for Week 1 of the regular season.

- Neither Derek Anderson or Matt Leinart played enough to make a case for the starting QB job, but if I had to wager my house on it, I’d say Anderson won the job. Leinart might still be traded, so he has minimal fantasy value. Max Hall did a nice job in the second half, completing 7 of 9 passes for over 100 yards and a rushing TD.

Byron Leftwich suffered a severely sprained MCL and will miss at least a month (probably more) of action, meaning he won’t play much, if at all, this season. With the announcement that Big Ben was only suspended four games instead of six, that means Dennis Dixon gets the nod for the first month. Decent fantasy value, considering their schedule, but nothing to get excited about.

- In my opinion, rookie QB Sam Bradford did enough last night (6 for 6 for 68 yards and a TD in one series) to win the starting job. Nothing against AJ Feeley, but Bradford showed what he could do with the first team last week when Feeley opened the door for him by injuring his thumb.

- SLEEPER ALERT: James Davis, RB, Cleveland Browns — Horrible news for the Browns as RB Montario Hardesty might be lost for the season with a torn ACL. Though it’s not 100% official or confirmed, sources close to the team believe he’s done. Why he was on the field after he scored his first TD last night is beyond me, but this news opens the door for second-year RBJames Davis to really prove what he can do. Remember, he was a big sleeper of mine last season but suffered the same fate Hardesty is going through this season. Jerome Harrison will make a huge move up my draft board, but Davis will make his first appearance later today, as well.

- There’s still time to play in a fantasy football league, unless you don’t like winning money. Check out our Fantasy League Page on the website for a complete list of EVERYTHING we offer.

- Remember our Weekly Fantasy Football Tickets? THEY’RE BACK!! We’ve already handed out over $20,000 in cash winnings and we plan on handing out even more this year. You’re not competing against anyone else but yourself. Our latest winner took home $700 on a $1 ticket. That’s an insane investment. CLICK HERE to get in on the MILLION DOLLAR Week 1 TICKET.

That’s all for now. Don’t forget our Radio Podcast in less-than-one-hour. You won’t want to miss it.

Have a great weekend,

Craig
