Jets Consider Move To Release Jones

Jets running back Thomas Jones could be on his way out as the team is trying to find ways to get younger while “trimming the fat” off their salary cap number.

Analysis:

That sounds crazy, but he does turn 32 in August, and if you consider his late-season struggles combined with Shonn Greene’s emergence, this move actually makes sense. Plus, Leon Washington will be back from injury.
