Veteran LB Landon Johnson will take over as the Panthers’ starting weak-side linebacker following Thomas Davis’ ACL tear.

Analysis:

Johnson is very likely to be a 3-down linebacker and will get a lot of work in Carolina’s cover-2 scheme that requires very active weak-side linebackers.
