Seemingly everyone has weighed in on Michael Crabtree. Kid seems like a star in the making to me. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a big day today against the Titans. 10 catches and a TD, or does Vernon Davis hog the red zone again?
Since you were quick to the wire and nabbed Ryan Moats before most of the world even knew what hit ‘em, do you start him in your fantasy lineup? Now seems like a good time to roll the dice if your other options are weak, since he will in fact be in the starting lineup when the Texans take the field today. However, I have Ahmad Bradshaw and like him better vs. the Chargers’ 27th ranked rush defense. Could be that I will regret it if Moats explodes again, but I am banking on Matt Schaub to focus on beating the depleted Colts secondary with the pass, and Moats may end up sharing touches with two other backs.
Speaking of Schaub and the Texans, all eyes are on how the team will handle losing star TE Owen Daniels for the year. You could do worse than picking up solid WR Kevin Walter, but I wouldn’t pick up TE Joel Dreessen until he proves that he will be as involved in the passing game as Daniels was. Tough duty for a professional long-snapper.
I like TE Fred Davis’ potential, but banking on the Redskins to do much is always a gamble, especially against an angry Falcons team that has lost three in a row.
In Kansas City, keep an eye on Kolby Smith. While Jamaal Charles was one of the hottest waiver wire pickups this week with Larry Johnson likely done in Chiefs town, Smith was just activated off of the PUP list. He is bigger than Charles and has more experience as a starting back, having filled in for Johnson in the past.
