“Patriots agreed to terms with third-round WR Brandon Tate on a four-year contract with a $755,000 signing bonus.

Despite owning the NCAA record for combined return yardage, Tate slipped in the draft after tearing the ACL and MCL in his right knee early in his senior season. A candidate for the PUP list, Tate could emerge as a return threat in the second half of the season.”
