Among the few correlations between the NFL and your FFLeague, there is one we should be thankful for this week. Making the Title game or Super Bowl or LCG or whatever your league(s) call it is a strong achievement and you should be Happy to have the opportunity to try and win the league.
It just doesn’t happen in every league or even every year no matter how many leagues you play in. And Yes, I do have one title game this week - in fact more fun than some that would pay bigger reward$ because it is for the Championship of the FantasyFootball.com Staff League - so that is against very good competition.
This week I will face Mental Acumen aka Mike Woellert in the Championship game, after I defeated Steve Dawson last week and Mike beat John Carson. Maybe Big Ben can come up SUPER again this week and help win the game for me.
In the WCOFF Magazine Experts League, I got a great game from Joe Flacco, but less than what we have all come to expect from Chris Johnson and Wes Welker, and Pierre Garcon was hurt during the game and didn’t contribute much.
There was some irony in that game as Todd Ullman (2006 WCOFF Champion) was the team that beat me - last year I lost to Todd as well in the last game of the year. Well Shawn Childs and I can square off in the 3rd place game…….whoopee (see that is why you should savor those Title Game appearances).
Even more disappointing was the semi-final loss to KFFL (143.22 to 135.44) in the SOFA Auction League as I really thought I had the best team in that league (and I did during the regular season), but if you don’t win your playoff game, that all goes for nought….no one will remember what happened prior to the Super Bowl.
This week KFFL will meet RotoWorld for the League Championship.
GOOD LUCK to any of you in your Championship games - savor being there this week - plenty of time later to savor the win, but you just don’t get as many chances as you would like.
