Week 14 Chop Blocks

The dust has just about settled on week 14, with the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49′ers set to kick off in a few hours.  Here are some quick hits around the league:

-What is Gary Kubiak doing with their running game?  He now comes out and says Arian Foster will be the feature back.  Is there any reason to believe him at this point?

-Andre Johnson might be the best receiver in the league.  He’s, for the most part, the only weapon on that team and he just shakes off his defenders like they aren’t even there.  I’m surprised that teams don’t rush 3 to get to Matt Schaub and throw the rest of their defenders on him

-Why was Steven Jackson still playing in such a blowout?  I mean, I know he’s a gamer but there was no reason for him to be out there in 2nd half

-I think the Bengals were finally exposed.  I don’t see them making it out of their 1st playoff game

-Cedric Benson reached 1,000 yards for the first time in his career.  He, also, almost snapped the Vikings 35 game streak at not allowing a 100 yard rusher.  He came up 4 yards short

-Anyone else get sliced by DeSean Jackson?  He killed me in one of my leagues, so now I need Fitzgerald to have at least 2 scores tonight

-Chris Johnson and Ray Rice could be the #1 and #2 picks in PPR leagues next season.  Chris Johnson is definitely the #1 pick.  Is there a more dangerous back in the NFL right now?

-Brian Orakpo with 4 more sacks for the Redskins.  They definitely have one of the best defenses in the league and, could you imagine if they had a half-way decent offense?

-Is there anyone that has distanced themselves for Offensive Rookie of the Year?  Kenny Britt?  Hakeem Nicks? Knowshon Moreno?

-Did Indianapolis forget that Brandon Marshall was on the field?  I mean, how do you let someone get by your defense for 21 receptions?

-Randy Moss….giving up on plays?  What’s the world coming to?  Looks like he’s reverting back to his old ways.  Chris Gamble did a great job at shutting him down

-In an absolute must win for the Jaguars, I can’t believe how flat they came out.  In a game without your best receiver (or at least not at 100%), why wouldn’t you give Maurice Jones-Drew 25+ touches?  Their playoff chances are just about done

-Seems that Ryan Grant plays his best games against the Bears

-Aaron Rodgers had his worst game of the season.  His owners were expecting a bit more than 180 yards and no scores against a defense that gave up 21 passing TDs on the season

-Thomas Jones is the exception and not the rule when it comes to backs and their 30s.  I avoided this guy in most drafts simply because of his workload last season.  He’s had another solid season

-I know it’s unavoidable, but opposing QBs need to try and pass away from Darrelle Revis.  Another INT and 4 passes defended

-Bryan Scott has been an absolute beast for his IDP owners since playing the weak-side linebacker spot

-I am pretty much done recommending any Seattle position player from here on out

-Dallas is going to finish 8-8 this season.  I don’t see them beating the Saints or Eagles…or even the Redskins for that matter.  Also, how did Marion Barber drop so suddenly from fantasy relevance?

-All is forgiven for Hakeem Nicks after dropping what would have been a sure TD.  He definitely made up for it on his TD catch

-Looks like Demarcus Ware avoided a serious injury.  It looks like he’s going to be okay

-Looks like Greg Camarillo will be a very nice pickup this week in PPR leagues.  He looks to be the starting receiver with Davone Bess going down with an ankle injury
