WEEK 14 QB RANKS (PLAYOFF EDITION)

drew-brees1“If your reading this then you probably made your leagues playoffs.  Congratulations the first step is over.  Now forget everything that happened over the last few months because none of it matters.  The new season began last night with a horrific showing from the Pittsburgh Steelers.  It’s  just another example of how different the NFL can be from week to week and year to year.  I wrote in August how important it is to have a legitimate stud quarterback come playoff time.  I hope you listened because that will probably be the difference in a first or second place finish.  It usually is.  Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Kurt Warner and Tom Brady will  lead thousands of teams to fantasy titles this year.  Why? Because they’re the best, and the best produce at a higher and more consistent level than everyone else.    I’m not saying Rivers, Schaub, Favre, Romo or McNabb can’t win you a title.  They’re all very capable,  I would just rather have one of the elite.  I wouldn’t be to worried about Favre’s performance last Sunday, he plays a lot better at home then playing on the road.  I think he bounces back against a good opponent.  Schaub is another guy you might want to consider benching.  I wouldn’t because he’ll play through the shoulder injury and he still has the ability to post huge numbers on any given week.  Flacco has been inconsistent lately but makes a low end QB1 play against the Lions.  The same goes for Alex Smith and Vince Young.  If you don’t have a top passer for this week, I would use them over guy’s like Carson Palmer and Eli Manning.  I wish everyone the best of luck this weekend.”
